The Wine Locker Proposal
CARD SOUND GOLF COURSE

OVERVIEW

We have a unique opportunity right now, to offer wine lockers to Card Sound Golf Club members as a new amenity of the club along with a calendar of extraordinary culinary events because of the wonderful renovations that will begin this summer. We reached out to the New Hampshire seacoast-based company, Vigilant, for a proposal.  They have created wine lockers for many of the top golf clubs in America such as Baltusrol in New Jersey. Their fine craftsmanship embodies exceptional design, resilience, and reliability.  

No change of current renovation plans is needed. And there is no expense to Card Sound for the buildout. Members desirous of wine lockers pay for their own lockers. 

The proposal is for 108 lockers that could be constructed at the club along one of the corridors (old trophy hallway). It's very easy to reduce or increase that number based on demand.  Price per locker would be under $1500 each. Multiple lockers would be available, in requested.

Members have many options for dining and entertaining their friends and family at Ocean Reef®. We feel adding this amenity would benefit everyone and create even more compelling reasons to dine at the club.

A “Culinary Events Calendar” would create the perfect opportunity for members to introduce fellow members to relationship that they have with great wineries and renown chefs around the world. We are excited to announce that Vanessa Conlin MW, can personally coordinate wine tastings at several of the events, whether leading masterclasses, organizing wine dinners, or helping with Michelin chefs. Vanessa is a Master of Wine residing in Napa Valley, California. She is the Global Head of Wine Retail for Sotheby's, overseeing all wine e-commerce and brick and mortar retail, as well as content and private labels.

We recommend conducting a survey of members to determine how many would be desirous of owning a wine locker. And we respectfully would like the survey to come back to us within 30 days or less so that we can coordinate construction with this summer’s renovations.
